No. 1 Grosvenor Square
Lucas has played a key role in the grand refurbishment of No. 1 Grosvenor Square, a luxury residential redevelopment in the heart of Mayfair and one of central London’s most prestigious addresses.
The building was formerly the United States embassy until 1960 when the embassy moved across the square, and it then became the Canadian High Commission.
Now through the developer Lodha UK and Eric Parry Architects, the building has been deconstructed and recreated as a development of 48 luxury residential units including a penthouse, town houses and duplexes.
Lucas painting teams applied specialist coatings in the basement and back of house areas including resin coatings to plant rooms and a three storey car stacker system. Then we moved on to meticulously decorate all the residences throughout the building to provide glorious finishes to what is clearly some of the best accommodation in London.
The building boasts a 25m swimming pool, state-of-the-art gymnasium, private spa and treatment rooms, a library and an onsite restaurant.
