Bagnalls has been working, as a trusted painting contractor, at the East Midlands Designer Outlet for many years.
During this time, we have undertaken numerous painting projects at the retail park which have included both internal redecorations as well as external painting works.
One of the most challenging projects was painting the outlet’s landmark entrance sign and supporting legs. As with all works, a thorough risk assessment was undertaken and the safest way to access the higher aspects of the sign was to use a 130ft high access machine.
Only operatives who were trained and qualified in the use of this equipment were allocated to this particular project. The top of the sign was craned off and was prepared inside and special steel epoxy coatings were applied.
This job alone took two weeks to complete and during this period, the car park was cordoned off daily and additional spaces were provided to shoppers, which were located in the staff car park areas.
